For listing platforms and developers
Every card is an address on howwalkable.com, so you can fill in the coordinates from your listing template instead of making each one here:
https://howwalkable.com/embed?lat={latitude}&lon={longitude}&label={address}
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
lat, lon | The property's latitude and longitude in decimal degrees. Required. |
label | Text under the score, such as the street or listing title, URL-encoded. Up to 100 characters. |
size | full (default, 387 px tall) or compact (96 px tall). |
theme | light (default), dark, or auto to follow the visitor's device. |
Give the iframe the height for its size and any width from 280 px up.
The card fills the width it is given.
If you would rather draw your own design, the same data is available as JSON from https://howwalkable.com/api/score?lat={latitude}&lon={longitude}.
If you expect a lot of traffic, email [email protected] first so we can plan for it.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, for personal and commercial sites, including estate agents and property portals. Please keep the How Walkable name and the map data credit on the card.
Does the widget track my visitors?
No. The card sets no cookies, runs no scripts and loads nothing from other companies. Your visitors' browsers fetch it from howwalkable.com, which keeps no record of what they look at, as the privacy policy explains.
How accurate is the score?
Scores are calculated from open map data, so they are estimates and are lower where shops and cafés are missing from the map. The methodology explains how they work.
