Terms of service
Effective 12 October 2026.
How Walkable is a free service, run by Crunchy OÜ, that estimates how walkable places are. By using howwalkable.com, its API, or the How Walkable app in an AI assistant, you agree to these terms.
The scores are estimates
Scores are calculated automatically from open map data, which can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They estimate access to everyday places on foot; they are not a survey, an appraisal, or advice about buying, renting or moving. Check anything important in person. The methodology explains how scores work and where they fall short.
Using the service
- You may use the site, the scores and the city rankings for personal or commercial purposes, and quote them with a link to howwalkable.com.
- Do not overload the service, scrape it in bulk, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it. If you need many scores, email us.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful.
Data and attribution
Place and street data © OpenStreetMap contributors and Overture Maps Foundation, available under their open licences. City names and populations come from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0. Those licences apply to the underlying data.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and may change or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it or relying on its scores. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by changing this page and its effective date. Questions go to [email protected].
